Reflections over Gokyo

NEPAL. Everest Region, Gokyo Lakes. May 8th, 2012. Located in the Solukhumbu District of Nepal, the Gokyo Lakes are considered to be sacred by both the Hindus and Buddists. Sitting at an altitude of 15,400-16,000ft, it is the world’s highest freshwater lake system comprised of six main lakes nested deep in the Himalayas.
